Football Coaching, Officiating and Management
DawkSports is proud to offer the following training modules individually or in a comprehensive course called, “Football Coaching, Officiating and Management”. These modules now include virtual and at home coaching elements. Discounts will be given for students who take the entire course or if multiple students are enrolled together.
Overall when the training is completed Dawksports wants to ensure that the trainee feels confident enough to not only ref and coach games but feels comfortable teaching other people how to do that across multiple leagues and rulesets. The trainee will understand how to manage the league both on and off the field and know exactly how to handle the most common problem situations that you may see on the field or sidelines on a week to week basis.
Officiating (9 Hours)
Review reffing material for different rule books, and most effective ways to officiate the game. Help the trainee become certified to officiate for multiple leagues and gain certification through relevant associations. Highlights: Etiquette, Clothing, Positioning, Various Styles (5v5, 7v7), How to Interpret Rules, Player/ Coach/Fan Management. Module Fee: $1760
Coaching (9 Hours)
Coaching past the basic levels and moving onto a more advanced level where the trainee(s) can teach the players more. Trainees should work towards their NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) training and certification in order to help the trainee be qualified to coach nationally at as many levels as possible . Highlights: What is the most efficient way most kids learn, focus on players improvement and enjoyment each week not on the game to game success. How to gain parents respect and prevent them from trying to coach from the sidelines. Creating lesson plans and executing them during games and practices and how to keep the players on task and interested. Module fee: $2200
League Management (9 Hours)
How to manage a league both on and off the field. How to best keep the games organized and on schedule. Best things to do to keep clients (both parents and players) happy. How to handle difficult or controversial moments and turn them into positive learning experiences for as many people as possible. Highlights: Scheduling, team making, communicating with parents/players, processing payments, organizing registrations, advertising. Module fee: $1760
Train the Trainer – Officiating (9 Hours)
Now that the trainee understands what needs to be done in order to officiate a game in multiple leagues they can train others. They will be trained on how to teach other people to officiate and be certified. Trainees should prove that they can officiate before taking this course. Module Fee: $1980
Train the Trainer – Coaching (9 Hours)
Now that the trainee understands what needs to be done in order to coach they can train others. The trainee will now be taught to train other coaches on the best way to get their message across to kids as well as parents. The trainee will be able to guide coaches on how to gain various coaching certifications. Trainees should prove that they have coaching experience before taking this course. Module Fee: $2200
